A 35-day journey through every recorded miracle of Christ, witnessing His divine power and compassion.
Each day pairs a Scripture reading with its historical context, connections across the Bible, a short prayer, and journal prompts to write through.
“This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.”
John 2:11 · KJV
Jesus performed His first miracle at a wedding feast in Cana of Galilee. When the wine ran out—a serious social embarrassment for the host family—Mary brought the problem to Jesus. Though He said His hour had not yet come, He responded to the need. Six stone waterpots, used for Jewish purification rituals, were filled with water and transformed into the finest wine.
Wine in Scripture often symbolizes joy and blessing (Psalm 104:15). Jesus' first miracle foreshadows the new covenant—He transforms the old purification rituals into something far better. The master of the feast remarked that the best wine was saved for last, unknowingly prophesying that the best of God's revelation comes through Christ.
We begin our journey through Jesus' miracles with His first sign. This miracle reveals that Jesus came not to abolish joy but to fulfill it abundantly. Each miracle we'll study shows a different facet of His glory—today we see that He cares about human celebration and dignity.
Lord Jesus, You turned water into wine and revealed Your glory. Open my eyes over these 35 days to see Your power and compassion displayed in every miracle. Amen.
